Outlook for Summer 2025 with the return of Lagiacrus?
Following the livestream, a teaser was shown that gives a brief outlook on the upcoming second Title Update (via YouTube). It features a splashing sound followed shortly by a prominent claw with blue scales.
Fans of the series are likely to have spotted an old acquaintance, as it is most likely Lagiacrus, whose return fans have been wishing for across many installments. In the past, there have been several fan theories suggesting that he would return in Wilds. These now seem to be confirmed.

In addition to this “teaser bomb,” which is likely to excite many fans, the contents of the first TU were, of course, presented in detail during the stream.

Roadmap
A roadmap illustrated the timeline in which the new content will become available in the game.

Below, we will present the content to you again in detail.
New Monster: Mizutsune
Just before the release, it was confirmed in the launch trailer that the first major monster to be introduced with TU1 will be the leviathan Mizutsune. The monster is a fan favorite.
Battle-Hardened Rey Dau and Gamma Armor
Along with the Battle-Hardened Rey Dau, a new variant is introduced: the Battle-Hardened Monsters. This variant is an even stronger version of the hardened monsters. Along with it comes new armor for you and your Palico: the Rey Dau Gamma Set and the F Rey Dau Gamma Set:

The quest for this will be playable in the form of an event quest from April 30 to May 21. Once the corresponding event quest is online, you can participate starting at Hunter Rank 50 and face the Battle-Hardened Rey Dau.
Zoh Shia Returns with Armor and Weapons
Until now, you could face the legendary Zoh Shia only once within the story. With the Title Update, you can take on the challenge again. His quest will become accessible to you as soon as you reach Hunter Rank 50. It will be displayed in the overview and can be started from there.
He will also appear during the “Wyvern Watch” in the ruins of Wyveria and can be turned into a quest there. Additionally, he will finally receive his own craftable armor, which is impressive:
“The Great Site” as a Meeting Point for Hunters
The Great Site was previously announced before release as part of the Title Update. This place can be unlocked in Suja starting at Hunter Rank 16 and is intended to serve as a meeting point with other hunters, where you can participate in various activities. Such as the following contents:
- New mini-game “Barrel Bowling” where you can throw barrels against vouchers and win useful items
- Concert of the singing Diva
- Hunting Group Info kiosk moves from the wind plane to the Great Site
There will also be various limited-time festivities with limited items. The first event starts on April 23 and brings cherry blossom festival-inspired content.
Arena Quests
Those who enjoy speedruns and rankings can soon compete in various Arena Quests against other players. In the Great Site, there will be an expedition record board where you can leave your mark.
Challenge quests and free challenge quests will also be available as limited event quests. You can win exclusive charms, both for participation and for different placements.
Additionally, there will be limited-time Arena quest loot hunts. Both Arena and challenge quests will be fought fairly with prescribed equipment and can be completed with up to 2 players.
Free challenge quests will be fought without prescribed equipment and can have up to 4 hunters and support hunters participating. The quests can be taken on in the Great Site.
Free DLC Content
There will also be some cosmetic content that you can download for free:
- New outfit for Alma and interchangeable glasses
- New free emotes

Miscellaneous
Along with the larger contents, the first cosmetic content package will also be released simultaneously. This will bring new options for your camps and new armor for your Saikrii.
Additionally, there will be further event quests and a collaboration with another Capcom game that has not yet been announced. There will also be an overview of all captured endemic creatures.
Old event quests will also return, allowing players who have missed them previously to have another chance to participate.
Until the update arrives, you can pass the time with various event quests that change weekly. You can read about which quests are currently active and what you can earn for them here: Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests: These tasks and rewards are currently active
