The map “Coral Highlands” in Monster Hunter World (PC, PS4, Xbox) is breathtaking and promises exciting gameplay. Capcom released a new gameplay video showcasing the fantastic ecosystem of the action RPG. Additionally, resident monsters like the Paolumu and the Tzitzi-Ya-Ku can be seen.
Of all the new maps that Monster Hunter World has to offer, the Coral Highlands will likely be one of the most exciting. Here, the developers at Capcom have created a surreal world with its own ecosystem.
Anyone seeing the Coral Highlands for the first time might get the impression that it is an underwater world. The environment is reminiscent of a coral reef but is located outdoors.
On this map, hunters work with many slopes and verticals, due to the tall coral trees and plateaus. In addition, warm winds rise in the Coral Highlands that influence the animals and the gameplay of the environment.

In the new video from Capcom, the player sets out to hunt the bat-like Paolumu. This creature feeds on the coral eggs that float upward due to the warm winds. The Paolumu also uses the winds to attack and evade. The fluffy monsters also seem to travel in packs.
In the midst of the battle against the Paolumu, the Tzitzi-Ya-Ku joins in and attacks the bat with a blinding attack. This causes the Paolumu to become agitated, prompting it to flee. The hunter then uses a grappling hook to latch onto the Paolumu and flies along with it for a while.
A bit further away, the hunter and Paolumu resume their battle, and soon the next predator arrives: the Legiana, a large flying wyvern. It also wants a bite of the Paolumu and brings it down. The hunter seizes the opportunity to deliver some heavy blows against the Paolumu. In the end, he fights against both creatures. How the battle ends remains unanswered.
