The Hunting Weapons of Monster Hunter World in Video – Here’s How to Hunt the Biggest Creatures!
Since the announcement of Monster Hunter World at E3, fans have been eagerly waiting for new material regarding the upcoming monster hunt. At Comic Con in San Diego, a panel was held over the weekend that specifically dealt with Monster Hunter World.
There will be a total of 14 different weapon types. Some of them can be seen below, such as the “Huntinghorn”, the “Switchaxe”, and the “Light Bowgun” – quite crazy combinations of ordinary weapons that have long been a part of the daily life for “Monster Hunter” fans.
The video unfortunately has low quality as it was filmed from a projector. However, it is enough for an initial impression:

Thanks to the different weapons, there are also various playstyles. While players with the Bowgun tend to flank, teammates with a big club try to jump directly on the head of the hunting target and let the weapon circle there.
According to the relevant post on Reddit, Capcom also promised at Comic Con that each weapon will have its own video in the coming days, detailing the handling and gameplay experience.
Once again, the video also showed the feature of inviting other players to the hunt using beacons – a small detail that they are clearly very proud of (and which still receives applause from the fans).
Monster Hunter World is expected to be released early in 2018 – at least on PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version is supposed to follow “shortly thereafter.”
