Event brings a new, brutal boss fight
This is what’s inside the new Witcher event: With the next part of the crossover, a stronger version of the new Ancient Leshen monster has appeared.
The Ancient Leshen is a particularly tough boss that can easily match the difficulty of the Behemoth or even the Extreme Behemoth. The 9-star quest is called “Quest: Spirit of the Forest” and is available from Hunter Rank 50.
This is how the Ancient differs from the regular Leshen: Unlike the first part of the Witcher quests, you can also fight the Ancient Leshen in a group with your own builds. This is also urgently needed.
The Ancient Leshen is significantly tougher and more dangerous. Its health points stand at 67,500, which is considerably higher than the Extreme Behemoth. Thus, the Ancient Leshen is likely to be the hardest monster in the game.

The Ciri Armor
Ciri is a well-known character from The Witcher. She is the adopted daughter of the Witcher Geralt, whose armor set is also available in the game.
These sets can only be worn completely; they cannot be combined with others.

- Dodge Level 5
- Super Weapon Level 3
- Divine Blessing Level 2
- Dodge Distance Level 2
- Constitution Level 2
These are the decoration slots:
- Helmet: 2 Level-1 slots, 1 Level-3 slot

The Zirael Twinblades
These twin blades are made from Ciri’s sword Zirael, as well as her dagger. They are currently among the best twin blades available.

The Zirael weapon is particularly well-suited for builds that utilize the Elementless skill. This allows for achieving even higher base damage. For pure DPS sets, Zirael is currently one of the best twin blades.
The Upgrade for the Witcher Sword
In addition to the equipment for Ciri, there is also an upgrade for Geralt’s weapon, the “Witcher’s Silver Sword.” With the new event quest, the higher tier for the weapon has now been unlocked.
The upgrade increases the elemental and base damage of the weapon. It is now likely the best choice when looking for a sword & shield with Dragon element. It has
- a large bar for white sharpness,
- a high value in Dragon element,
- Dragon Seal High, which is effective against Elder Dragons
- and a Level-1 slot.
Although the Deviljho sword/shield has a significantly higher base damage, the Silver Sword has the advantage due to its much better sharpness.

How to unlock the decoration sets: Those who were hoping for decoration sets for the two characters can now rejoice. It is possible to exchange these for a specific item from the Ancient Leshen.
These are Mutagens. They are as rare as a gemstone from a regular monster.
However, since the Leshen is such a tough opponent, you really need a lot of luck to not have to farm a Mutagen forever.
Many are not satisfied with the fight
What does the community think of the new boss? Overall, the feedback is not good. In the forums, there is discussion about the difficulty of the Ancient Leshen.
It is said to be extremely difficult to complete the fight under 20 minutes.
The Ancient Leshen has 67,500 health points, over 15,000 more than the Extreme Behemoth, with which players already have a love-hate relationship. This was previously considered the toughest monster in the game.
While this might be interesting during the first attempts, many find it frustrating when trying to farm specific items. After all, this is a temporary event, like the Siege Quest with Kulve Taroth.
It is mainly criticized that the fight is too MMORPG-like, and solo players have virtually no chance.
Some wish for Capcom to slightly adjust the Ancient Leshen so that it is also enjoyable for solo players. Others, however, are glad to receive a real challenge again.
Players recommend also to bring all healing and strengthening items you have. Work in a group. A supporter is almost mandatory if you want to reliably defeat the boss.
