The powerful character editor of Monster Hunter World offers plenty of options for creating dream heroes. You can spend hours having fun, only to finally admire your brave hunter with pride and exhaustion. But once the game started, many players were horrified! Because often the hero in the game looked different and usually worse than in the editor.
Many players would appreciate it if the unwanted pancake face could be changed later.
Developers bring post-character customization feature if you want it
If you only want to make small changes to your hunter, you can already do that in the dwelling. But a complete “do-over” is not possible. However, such a “beauty operation feature” would indeed be possible.
Monster Hunter Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto spoke about the involuntarily ruined pancake faces of the heroes at the Taipei Game Show 2018. If enough players would like a feature in the game that allows for post-character customization, then they would want to patch it into the game.
However, they only want to go to the trouble if enough players wish for it. So anyone who is dissatisfied with their hero in Monster Hunter World should let Capcom know.
Tips for the editor from the developers
But until that happens and a post-character editor comes into the game, Tsujimoto and Game Director Yuya Tokuda gave tips for the editor. You should definitely adjust the facial expression and lighting. This way, some unpleasant surprises can be avoided.
