The giant Jagras is not necessarily hard to defeat, but his strong attacks can knock players down quickly if they are not careful. It is best to bring a fire weapon, as he is particularly vulnerable to fire. Capture him as soon as you can, as it saves time.
Which weapons are particularly effective? If you have trouble with the Jagras, ranged weapons and weapons with shields are particularly effective. Additionally, you should consider the skill Tremor Resistance, as the Jagras frequently causes the ground to shake with his belly.
