September will be a hot month for multiplayer gamers. The Iceborne expansion of Monster Hunter World and Borderlands 3 will be released almost simultaneously. Which one will you be playing?
The releases of MHW: Iceborne and Borderlands 3 are only a week apart. Both titles bring tons of content and have similarities despite differing genres:
- Multiplayer games with co-op modes for up to 4 players
- Hunting for loot and new gear as a focus
- Sequels to popular franchises with an established fan base
Which of the two games will be your favorite in the coming weeks?
This is what Iceborne offers: Although Iceborne is actually “just” an expansion, it is still said to provide as much content as the actual base game Monster Hunter World. With the new addon, various content will come to the game, including:
- Many new monsters, including fan favorites like Zinogre or Tigrex
- A large snowy area and a new social hub
- New difficulty level “Master Rank” and a dynamic difficulty system
- Many new armor sets and weapons
- The Clutch Claw feature
- Penguins
- General comfort and quality changes that make the game more enjoyable.
This is what Borderlands 3 offers: The third part of the popular Borderlands franchise has been eagerly awaited by fans for a long time. For three long years, Gearbox kept the game a secret, even though everyone knew it was already in development. Now it comes with massive content:
- 4 new Vault Hunters, each with their own skill trees and special abilities
- Story campaign
- Several new planets
- Mountains of randomly generated loot
- Crazy cosmetics
- Weapons with legs
- Mayhem mode in the endgame
- Bosses that resemble MMORPG raids
