A new trailer for the action RPG Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is here. In it, you can see numerous new details about the expansion. This includes a cozy new base camp, the “new” monsters Glavenus and Brachydios, as well as new sub-species for Odogaron and Anjanath.
What can be seen in the trailer? The latest trailer for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is called the “Glavenus Trailer” and features this monster as the main topic. Additionally, several sub-species of known monsters and a detailed look at the new base camp, which couldn’t be cozier, are included.
Glavenus, Brachydios, new sub-species and fun in the sauna
What is the Glavenus? Fans might know this “new” monster from previous series entries. It is a gigantic flying wyvern with a characteristic sword-like tail. With that, it sweeps away entire hunting teams. But that’s not all; the beast can also spew fiery projectiles and is consequently dangerous from a distance.
What is the Brachydios? This monster is also a flying wyvern that fans recognize from earlier titles in the series. In Monster Hunter World, it has not been seen so far. Not even in the trailer. However, fans have already identified the monster in the final scene.
In it, a monster covered in slime stumbles into view. The slime starts changing color and finally explodes, killing the poor monster. Since this explosive slime attack is a trademark of Brachydios, it seems clear that this monster will likely also make an appearance in Iceborne.

What are the two monster sub-species? Fans of existing creatures can look forward to these two variants of existing beasts:
- Fulgur-Anjanath: The electrifyingly brutal wyvern Fulgur-Anjanath breathes lightning instead of fire.
- Vulkan-Odogaron: The Vulkan-Odogaron is more alert than ever. It also comes with an expanded range of attacks as well as dragon elements.

What does the new camp look like? To recover from the fight against these beasts, there is the new base camp Seliana. This is extensively shown in the trailer. Particularly cool is the large hot spring, where even your Palico cats frolic and relax in the water.
Community looks forward to Iceborne
This is how the trailer’s content is received by fans: Fans of Monster Hunter World on Reddit are reacting positively to the new trailer. Especially the well-known fan favorite Glavenus and the new Brachydios are receiving high praise. Fans specifically requested these monsters and are especially celebrating the “Brachy”:

It seems that fans can barely wait for the new DLC Iceborne. Unfortunately, it will be released for PS4 on September 6, 2019, and for PC only in the depths of winter.
