The endgame of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne mainly revolves around an area called “The Guiding Lands”. There are some bones and ores that you can only collect there. We have compiled all of them in this list. Additionally, we will provide you with tips for farming.
What are the Guiding Lands? The Guiding Lands is an area made up of 6 individual regions, called biomes. Each of these parts has a set of bones and ores.
These are the biomes:
- Coral Biome
- Wasteland Biome
- Tundra Biome
- Decay Biome
- Volcano Biome
- Forest Biome
How many materials are there? For each biome, there are 4 different bones and 4 ores from collectible deposits. Additionally, there are a total of 7 bones that you can only get from the monsters there.
What do you need the materials for? With these bones and ores, you can improve and augment your equipment. They are particularly important for weapon augmentation.
All Bones of the Guiding Lands
You can find bones in Monster Hunter World at bone piles. These deposits are brown heaps of bones, as the name suggests. You can find them in every biome. Additionally, there are some bones that you can obtain from monsters in the Guiding Lands. Your scoutflies will assist you in the search.
There is also a chance for giant bone piles. You can only harvest from them once, but you are guaranteed to get the rarest bone.

All Ores of the Guiding Lands
You can also find ores in Monster Hunter World through deposits. These are spiky formations of crystal that you can find in every biome. They are called mining spots and will be marked for you by your scoutflies.
You also have a chance for giant mining spots. You can only harvest from them once, but you are guaranteed to get the crystal of the rarest grade.

Important Tips for Farming
To get the most out of your farming round, a special set is recommended. In Monster Hunter World, there are skills that increase your gathering rate and speed. There are also skills that help you hide from monsters. Such a farming set should include the following abilities:
- Geologist – Allows you to gather more frequently at bone piles, mining spots, and ore deposits
- Botanist – An extra herb, fruit, nut, seed, insect, or mushroom object per gathering action
- Master Gatherer – Speeds up gathering and prevents being pushed back while gathering
- Camouflage – Monsters lose sight of you much easier
- Marathon Runner – Reduces continuous stamina consumption, e.g., when sprinting
- Tool Specialist – Makes your special tools return faster, which is good for the Ghillie Mantle
You should have this mantle: A must for any farming set is the Ghillie Mantle. It makes you invisible to local creatures like the Mauls and partially also to large monsters. If you also have camouflage in your equipment, the big beasts will leave you alone as well.
Another clever mantle is the Assassin’s Hood. It increases your movement speed and makes you hide faster. Unfortunately, it was only available through an event and not everyone has it. But that doesn’t matter, the Ghillie Mantle is much more important anyway.
Here are some tips on how to get more monsters for your Guiding Lands:
