Last week, a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds was released during Sony’s State of Play, and besides new monsters, players have been particularly taken by a new character. Apparently, players love her so much that they have started adjusting the tags on Steam.
Which character are we talking about? After the first Monster Hunter Wilds trailer in December, there is finally a new one from the State of Play. At the beginning of the trailer, you can see not only the new wilderness expert and one Palico but also Gemma, the new blacksmith of the game. The characters are traveling on a sand ship that sails through a seemingly endless desert.
Gemma only says 2 sentences in this trailer, yet she seems to be quite popular among fans. Many are even really in love with her, especially when you look at some of the popular custom tags.
You can watch the new trailer here:
Fans Love Gemma
As @QuirklessStoner posted on X, the game has an interesting tag on Steam. Looking at the Popular Custom Tags
, the tag Dating Simulation
is relatively high up, and even further down is the tag Hentai
.
Among the comments of the official tweet about Gemma, you can also see how in love players are with the new blacksmith. Alongside many childish comments, there are also comments like these:
- @KeiranPawlak:
Man, and I thought I had already run to the blacksmith too often.
- @BritishBozja:
The character designs are so good, I can’t wait!
- @sembloonce:
I already love her. Just like all the little details in her outfit.
Many users are also posting fan art of Gemma, who has only been known for a week.
However, many are also criticizing the tags. In a discussion on Steam, the issue of the two inappropriate tags is brought up.
- Bum:
Ugh, I hate that Steam allows this for its users. Just because of this nonsense, the game doesn’t appear in my store.
- AntonioKingsley:
Because of Gemma…people are horny for her. I understand it to some extent because she is cute, but damn lol
- Cocarum:
Because there are two women in the trailer.
On Steam, you can also disable specific tags for yourself, so games will not be recommended or shown to you. However, inappropriate tags can prevent games like Monster Hunter Wilds from being recommended to you.
Monster Hunter Wilds is not the only game with inappropriate tags. For example, if you look at Elden Ring, you will also see the ironic tag Family Friendly
. Until Monster Hunter Wilds is released, we have to wait a little longer, but if you want to sweeten the time until then, you can find similar games in this list: 5 games like Monster Hunter
