The new mounts, the Saikriis, have won the hearts of many fans since the beta of Monster Hunter Wilds. Soon, voices were raised wishing they could customize their mounts however they liked. This feature has now been confirmed in the preview. The fans already know exactly what they want to do with it.
What can be customized? So far, players could mainly customize their character and their Palico as they wished. In Monster Hunter Rise, it was also possible to customize and create one’s mount in a similar way. And this will also be possible in Monster Hunter Wilds, as was confirmed in the preview version in Japan.
Here are the things you can customize on your Saikrii (Eng. Seikret):
- Skin color
- Color of the inner feathers
- Color of the outer feathers
- Pattern width
- Pattern color
- Pattern opacity
- Eye color (individually for left and right)
- Decoration type
- Type of pendant
- Name
It will also be possible to customize your own camps that you can set up in the world. You can let your imagination run wild in terms of design, colors, and furniture . A feature that many fans may not have considered, but are nonetheless excited about.

“That wasn’t even on my list of things I’m looking forward to”
What plans does the community have? On Reddit and x.com, many players are excited and exchanging ideas about the possibilities that come with this. Many of them are already talking about the customization options for the camps, something they hadn’t even thought about before and are now looking forward to all the colorful tents (via reddit.com).
User Grotwurks writes under a post on x.com: “That wasn’t even on my list of things I’m looking forward to… Well… How could I not think of that!”
Especially for the customization of the Saikriis, fans seem to have specific ideas on Reddit. Many already envision a bunch of Saikriis in Chocobo style (you know, those yellow birds from Final Fantasy) zooming through the Crimson Forest. Or as Yoshi – of course only with a matching hunter styled like Mario or Luigi. However, some have other ideas and plans:

- Ubeube_Purple21 is excited (via Reddit): “I can finally model mine after my bird.”
- Purple-Teach8783 comments (via Reddit): “I will definitely create one with a magpie theme! Aaaaaah!”
On x.com, very similar ideas can be found, and many fans comment that they are trying to implement their own birds.
Not as much love as the cute Saikriis has recently received from another monster. On the contrary, many fans seem to find the monster rather “disgusting”. The editor-in-chief of MeinMMO, Leya, absolutely cannot understand this and calls for more love to be given to the monster and its design: Because you were mean to the Rompopolo in Monster Hunter Wilds, it made its designer sad, and that’s not okay.
