What new content is there in Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance?
- Boost armor protection: The boost armor protection can temporarily buff you in battle. This allows you to use new attacks in combat, enabling new combos, strengthening your offense and defense, and allowing special moves.
- The Sky Ruins: As seen in the first trailer, there will be at least one new area in the game. In this area, gravity doesn’t seem to apply to everything. There are floating platforms or stones.
- Fortress Madoi: A new hub area where you can find smithies, shops, and NPCs. This fortress was built as a defense against Lao-Shan Lung.
How much gameplay time does Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance offer?
It is currently unknown how much gameplay time Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will offer.
However, it can be assumed that there will be content after the story. In previous installments, there were title updates with new monsters and content even after the release.
What is known about the story of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance?
The expansion takes place a few years after the main game. The Elder Dragon Lao-Shan Lung brought the various tribes together with the guild to build a new fortress that is safe from Lao-Shan Lung. In the latest trailer, we saw the monster destroying a location.
After the attack by Lao-Shan Lung, a new area with flying islands and new monsters appeared, which the guild wants to investigate. As often, this seems to also have an impact on the entire ecosystem. There, hunters seem to encounter a completely new Elder Dragon that can bend storms to its will.
