Place 7 – Malzeno

Malzeno is the flagship monster of the major expansion of Monster Hunter Rise called “Sunbreak”. With his design, he resembles a vampire, which I personally always thought was pretty cool. This is further emphasized by the small, leech-like creatures he can command and from which he extracts life force from potential attackers – the Qurio.
He is an elder dragon and his attacks can cause dragon blight. Despite his delicate appearance, his attacks pack a massive punch, capable of shattering the ground and causing shockwaves.
The coolest moments he provides for hunters happen when he has drained enough life force and switches to his “Blood Rite” state. In this form, he is not only extremely fast but also causes just about everything that isn’t nailed down to explode.
Place 6 – Magnamalo

As the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Rise, Magnamalo somewhat resembles a tiger. Besides his sharp claws, it is primarily his tail, which at the end looks like a spearhead and can stab. With his skin covered in yellow and purple scales and reddish patterns, he already visually threatens what awaits his hunters.
As the only monster so far, he possesses hellfire – a type of gas that he uses to throw fireballs at you and cause explosions with his attacks. With this, he also inflicts hellblight on the hunters, which can quickly deplete a lot of health.
He even uses his own explosions to withdraw. With his large horns, Magnamalo’s head resembles a Japanese Oni mask, further emphasizing his menacing inferno.
Place 5 – Velkhana

Velkhana is an elder dragon and, with its icy appearance, is not surprisingly the flagship monster of the expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
This flagship monster stands out primarily due to its sparkling appearance. The ice-covered dragon looks pretty but is just as dangerous. A cool feature about him is that while you can sever his tail, he can replace it with a kind of ice prosthesis.
In battle, he shapes cold air and ice to make your life difficult and causes ice crystals to explode or large ice pillars to emerge. He also breathes fire on careless hunters, although they can also use the ice platforms he creates for jumping attacks. He can also create himself armor from ice and freeze hunters in icy clouds.
Place 4 – Nergigante

My place 4 goes to none other than the great Nergigante. The flagship monster of Monster Hunter World is covered in dangerous spines and carries two enormous horns on its head.
With his imposing size and swift movements, he makes quite an impression. If hunters break his spines, they can regrow and protect him again. If they turn black, extra caution is warranted because then Nergigante becomes particularly dangerous.
He can leap extraordinarily far and causes significant damage upon impact. With his sheer strength and dangerous spines, he has posed significant challenges to many hunters.
