In Monster Hunter Online, a new patch is coming soon that expands the MMO with additional monsters, weapons, and thus also achievements.
An Old Acquaintance
In Monster Hunter Online, there will be a new patch next week that adds some new content to the game. Starting from March 1, players can create a new weapon type, namely the spears. Spears are the only weapon in the game that allows you to attack and defend at the same time, as they come with a handy shield. As a trade-off, spears are quite slow, which means only skilled players will be able to get the best out of the new weaponry.
An “old acquaintance” is the “new” monster, the Tigrex. This four-legged beast has a gigantic mouth and relies – unlike most other monsters in the game – not on an element, but on sheer, brutal strength. Its loud roar is especially feared, as it can stun and even bring nearby objects crashing down.
There are also about 20 new achievements with which players can prove who the real greatest monster hunter on the server is.
So far, there are no information regarding a Western release. Capcom is currently only considering bringing the game to Taiwan – whether we Europeans will ever get to enjoy the highly anticipated title is questionable.
