In September, the productions for the Monster Hunter film will begin, and the budget is estimated at 60 million dollars. Part of the cast will be Milla Jovovich, who is also known for her role as protagonist Alice in Resident Evil.
The filming will take place in Cape Town, the capital of South Africa. The plot of the story is still unknown. However, the film is supposed to be based on the video game series by Capcom. So it can be assumed that hunting monsters will play a significant role.
Paul W. S. Anderson wrote the script and will be the producer of the Monster Hunter film. Anderson has already produced film adaptations for Resident Evil, a game franchise that also comes from Capcom. As early as 2012, the producer expressed interest in filming Monster Hunter.
Jeremy Bolt will support Anderson in production. He was also involved in the film adaptation of Resident Evil.
