What is it? Shadowgun War Games takes place in the same universe as Shadowgun Legends. But while Legends is a kind of mobile Destiny, War Games aims to be a mobile version of Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch.
You can already see in the game’s visuals that War Games resembles Overwatch in gameplay and feel. You play as one of several predefined heroes with special weapons and skills. In your team, you then try to battle the opposing team and fulfill the mission objective.
Shadowgun War Games started in early 2020 and is therefore a modern mobile game with good graphics. In the PlayStore, it has over 98,000 ratings and a score of 4.1 (as of November 2020).
What are the special features? Here you get a real hero shooter for mobile devices. There are various heroes with their own skills and a special loadout. Each hero has its own role, such as support or tank.
A special feature of War Games is that the fights tend to last quite a while. The time-to-kill, that is, the time until someone dies under fire, is relatively long. This means that you are not immediately taken out in hectic shootouts but can take your time and mistakes do not instantly lead to death.
What does it cost? The game is completely free to play, and real money can be spent on cosmetics.
Who should play it? If you always wanted Overwatch as a mobile game, then you are absolutely right here. The game looks quite similar to the Blizzard shooter, and the gameplay with unique heroes clearly appeals to all fans of hero shooters.
