Overwatch – Snowball Fight, Yeti Hunt, and New Skins
If you want to enjoy Christmas in Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch, you should be a friend of the heroine Mei. Because in the Christmas event “Winter Wonderland“, there are two new brawl modes where you play as the cute polar explorer Mei.
In the already known mode “Mei’s Snowball Fight”, you shoot each other with one-shot kill snowballs. All players are Mei here. The new game mode is called “Mei’s Yeti Hunt”. Here, 5 Meis face off against a Winston Yeti.
As in the asymmetric monster hunting game Evolve, Winston is initially weak and easy to defeat. However, the more he eats meat lying around the map, the more he charges his ultimate. Once fully charged, the Meis have nothing to laugh about!
During the event, you can also get new special skins and buy the skins from last year again. The event lasts until January 1, 2018.
The Elder Scrolls Online – The Multi-Cultural Christmas Festival
The Elder Scrolls Online offers you nine Christmas events! Each of the nine races in Tamriel celebrates the “New Year Festival” differently, and your hero is invited to each celebration. On behalf of the eager celebrant Breda, you will travel in nine daily quests to all the races of Tamriel and complete one unique festive task for each.
The special character of each race is always expressed. For the disrespectful Wood Elves, it is required to throw inflated dignitaries with dirt. The cunning Khajiit celebrate you when you break locks in record time, and for the rough Nords, it is about jumping naked into the icy water. For the Orcs, there is hearty eating and drinking followed by hearty burping. This is how respect is shown among Orcs!
In return, you receive crafting recipes for Christmas costumes, housing decorations, and an endless mead pitcher that grants you a cumulative bonus to experience points during the festival. The New Year Festival lasts until January 2, 2018.
World of Tanks – The Hard Fight for Christmas Spirit!
In Wargaming’s tank MMO World of Tanks, one has to fight hard for the contemplative Christmas spirit. And that means with the roar of guns and rattling tracks! In special Christmas battle missions, you can earn special loot boxes during the “Holiday Ops”.
These include decorations in various rarity levels, which you can use to festively decorate your start screen. The more and better decorations you have, the higher you rank up in the holiday level. Each level then grants valuable rewards such as discounts or a whole female tank crew.
You also have the choice of whether to choose a traditional European Christmas decoration style, a modern Christmas like in the USA (with lots of lights), a secular Soviet New Year, or the colorful Chinese New Year. When you have enough decorations registered in your collection album, you will receive bonuses on rewards in the game as well as special camouflage patterns for premium tanks from tier VIII and regular tanks at tier X.
The “Holiday Ops” event in World of Tanks lasts until January 15, 2018.
