The MMORPG Elite Lords of Alliance (ELOA) will soon celebrate its third release. This time, the publishers even change the name and call the game “Warlords Awakening.”
One should let the dead rest in peace. While this may apply to humans, it seems that publishers and developers have other opinions when it comes to video games. Because a MMORPG zombie rises now. Elite Lords of Alliance was released and died. Then it was resurrected and died again.
Now, the publisher PlayWith opens the coffin again and dares round 3.
New name, old game. However, the new publisher PlayWith does not want to release Elite Lords of Alliance for the third time under the same name. Therefore, the game will now bear the name Warlords Awakening.
The other publishers made mistakes with ELOA
What does PlayWith want to do better? Fans seem skeptical, but PlayWith has big plans. The publisher assumes that Elite Lords of Alliance could never unleash its full potential because it was mishandled by the other publishers. They want to do everything better, listen more to the community, and shape the game to their desires. There has always been a very dedicated, passionate core of fans that they should have listened to more.
Only a Pay2Win game? Another question was whether Warlords Awakening will now be a “Pay2Win” title or a cash grab to quickly exploit the community one more time and let the game die for the third time. They explain that “this is not the goal.”
However, there is still no specific re-re-release date. Only “2018” is stated.
Whether Elite Lords of Alliance Warlords Awakening survives longer than a few months in this third attempt remains to be seen. At least the fans’ wish for a long-term playable version exists.
