What exactly is the “Heroes of High Isle” event? Every year there is such an event corresponding to the chapter that has been released in that year. This year the “High Isle” chapter was released.
How you can participate in the High Isle event
First, get the introductory quest “The Island Journey”. You can obtain it either for free in the Crown Store under Quests or in the notice board. However, you can also get it at the tent of the Impresaria from Calonir.
You can receive Aspiring Loot Crates at the event in the High Isle area. Here’s how to get your loot:
- Completing the introductory quest “Leading the Leaders” (one-time)
- Dungeon bosses
- World bosses
- Bosses in the trial Sea of Sorrows
- Treasure chests, value chests, Psijic portals, stolen goods & resources
- Volcanic vents
- Regular enemies
- Stolen goods
- Pocket theft
The leaders / bosses will be shown on your map with a skull icon. With these add-ons, you can also see where undiscovered bosses are located:
This reward is only available if you work together
There is once again a community challenge where you can receive particularly strong rewards. Every player who participates increases the number of rewards!
These rewards are available:
- at 33 % – Paintings of the Oak Pact
- at 66 % – “Plant Yourselves” action
- at 100 % – Here you will receive several rewards:
- Aspiring Loot Crate
- Appleback Salamander as a companion (only with ESO Plus)
- Additional secret reward, revealed during the “Legacy of the Bretons” autumn event stream!
What do I need to do to participate? You must complete the achievement “Pathfinder of High Isle” in ESO. First, you need the current chapter High Isle. Then you must go in-game to the area of High Isle and Amenos and discover all 6 landmark locations. You can identify them by the eye icon on your map or compass.
You can follow the progress of the community live on the ESO website!
For all PC users: You can use add-ons like Map Pins or Destination as help to see the exact locations of the landmarks. This works with the right settings even if you have not discovered the locations yet.

How to get as many rewards as possible before the event ends
- Complete the daily area quests with your friends: You can each accept only one daily quest. However, that doesn’t mean you can only do that one quest. You can share the daily quests among yourselves and thus do each available quest once a day. With this add-on, you can even see what you are still missing:
- Trade items in your community, guild, and with friends: Don’t be disappointed if you loot one of the rewards twice. Your friends probably feel similar. Many of the rewards are not bound. So you can easily trade them among yourselves.
- If necessary, you can look for missing rewards in the guild store: Don’t despair if the last reward just won’t drop or if you miss out on the event. There will be plenty of event rewards in guild stores. And that even after the event has ended.
How to get your event tokens – daily area quests
To get your event tokens, you must complete daily quests. For this, you must go to the area of High Isle and Amenos. In the capital Gonfalon, you can find the quest givers when you walk past the inn to the Ancient Anchor on the right.
