In a post on the website, the developers of Star Wars: The Old Republic announced that a new event will be making its way into the game in April. Fans are excited because there haven’t been any new events for many years.
What can we expect in the new event? The new event “The Dantooine Incursion” revolves around the Nova Blades. This faction consists of pirates who were originally hired by the Empire to attack the Republic on Dantooine.
In the meantime, the Empire has established a hidden base on the planet. However, the Nova Blades no longer care about their original alliance and are attacking everyone and everything on Dantooine.
This is particularly exciting because since the latest patch, the Jedi and the Sith are once again at war with each other.
When is the event coming to the game? The event is planned for patch 5.10.3. However, the previous patch, 5.10.2, has not yet been released. This patch is expected to bring many changes behind the scenes.
Apparently, both updates are planned for the month of April.
Players are excited about Dantooine
On Reddit, many players are very excited about the newly announced event. This is partly because no fresh event has been released in years. On the other hand, the planet is very popular among many fans.
What happened on Dantooine? Dantooine played a particularly important role in the video game “Knights of the Old Republic”. There, the player character is trained as a Jedi.
The antagonist in the game, Darth Malak, also received his training on Dantooine.
However, the planet also played a role in more recent history. During the Clone Wars, one of the first battles between the Confederation and the Republic took place on Dantooine.
After the declaration of the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance relocated a base to Dantooine. This base was later betrayed by Princess Leia when Alderaan was threatened by the Death Star. By that time, however, the base had already been abandoned.
What other events are taking place in April? Every month, there are special recurring events in SWTOR.
From April 2 to April 9, the “Relics of the Gree” event will take place. During this event, you can earn some special rewards on Illum. However, it requires level 50.
From April 16 to April 23, there will be double rewards, double experience points, and double command XP.
Additionally, the bounty hunter mission week will run in parallel, which requires a character at level 15. Each day, a mission can be accepted, and there will also be special rewards for it.
