In July, Swords of Legends Online (SOLO) was released in the West. The German publisher Gameforge is now looking for testers to thoroughly evaluate the MMORPG to fix bugs and gather feedback. However, the testers are not going to be paid as usual, but will do everything voluntarily.
What kind of offer is this? Gameforge has called for applications for testers for the new MMORPG in the Swords of Legends forum. To be eligible for the tester role, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have completed the current raid content
- Be able to communicate in English and participate in voice chats
- Be available to regularly test new content on weekends
You should send a meaningful application via email (via SOLO). If selected, you can test new content together with the developers, which certainly sounds appealing to some fans.
Why is the offer audacious? The offer from Gameforge sounds like the role of a classic Quality Assurance Tester (QA Tester). As such a tester, you are expected to scour the software for bugs and ensure it is released in good condition. The call for applications even took place from Gameforge’s QA team.
