The Twitch streamer “GingerBeardie” has dedicated himself to the MMORPG Old School RuneScape. In his streams, he also likes to make crude jokes – perhaps that’s why his chat initially didn’t take it seriously when the streamer lost consciousness live on air.
What happened to GingerBeardie in the stream? In an OSRS stream from May 17, GingerBeardie managed to secure the rare item “Twisted Bow”, shortly “TBow”. Shortly after, the streamer can be seen clutching his chest and sinking to the ground.
For minutes, GingerBeardie apparently hangs unconscious in his chair, but his chat apparently believes it’s a joke. They write that his acting is like from a porno, joke that a subscription would give the streamer 5 more minutes of life, or urge to quickly steal his TBow.
Only after almost 2 minutes does the mood in the chat seem to change, his mod Nigel says he is already trying to reach the streamer. Almost a minute passes again before there’s a sign of life from GingerBeardie.
At this point, it is probably clear to most chatters that something is wrong. Viewers urge the streamer to call emergency services, then the stream ends abruptly. Already in November 2022, the streamer lost consciousness after celebrating a success in OSRS too hard.
On Twitch, there seems to be so much oddity to see that the viewers have become hardened.

How is the streamer doing? On May 19, GingerBeardie reached out to his fans via Twitter. In his tweet, he states that Covid hit him hard, he has an inflammation of the heart and lungs. He is also suffering from heart palpitations but hopes to stream again soon.
On May 21, the streamer then returned to Twitch to play RuneScape and talk about his heart attack, as he calls it. Apart from a persistent cough, he seems to be doing well under the circumstances.
Nevertheless, he didn’t refrain from making his chat feel guilty.
He said GingerBeardie, that his fans had demanded too much from him during his Covid illness. Also, he watched the footage of his own heart attack: He wants to show his viewers what they have to account for. We have embedded the clip here:
The streamer doesn’t seem to take the accusations too seriously and can even laugh at some of the comments. Nevertheless, the situation should serve as a warning to some viewers – and also to GingerBeardie himself – to not take health lightly.
