In the MMORPG ArcheAge: Unchained, an event recently started that rewards players for silly achievements. For example, those who spend the longest time in prison receive a unique title.
Since February 24, 2023, the event “Race to Ridiculous” has been running in ArcheAge: Unchained, which is a race for the ridiculous. The event will run until March 3.
Players compete in 5 absurd categories
The event is about completing something repeatedly to get into the top 10 of the respective server. Only then can you get a reward.
The categories are:
- Harvest the most thistles
- Spend the most time in prison
- Complete the most quests
- Use the dance “Gotta Get Down” the most
- Die the most from fall damage

How do you end up in prison? In ArcheAge, there is a system of “Crime Points”. You accumulate these points when you murder and loot. Other players can report you for this and must prove your wrongdoing with footprints or blood traces.
Once you have accumulated enough Crime Points, the MMORPG lets you choose whether to go directly to jail or plead your innocence. In the latter case, a jury of fellow players will decide your punishment.
In this case, players want to receive the longest prison sentence to obtain the title “Special Lockasion”.
What other rewards are there? Not only the player in first place receives a reward. The top 10 places also receive a special food item: The “Homemade Chocolate of the Warden”. You get 10 pieces of it. The item makes you dodge better, increases your attack speed, and reduces the casting time of your skills.
