It’s time for our MeinMMO format “MMORPG news in two minutes” again. We summarize the most important news about the best genre in the world. Look forward to the start of the hot MMORPG summer 2024, with many releases and announcements.
The highlights of the week:
- With Tarisland, on June 21, 2024, the first really big MMORPG for PC (and mobile) has been released since Lost Ark. Here you can find out everything important about release, classes, preload, system requirements, console (PS5), free to play of Tarisland.

What else happened? On June 18, 2024, the sandbox MMORPG Pax Dei started its early access phase. However, the early access did not go smoothly. Especially technical problems, the relatively high price for EA access, and the unusual genre mix are causing issues for the game.

This is what happened with the big MMORPGs:
- The developers of Final Fantasy XIV are preparing extensively for the launch of Dawntrail. Here is the list of measures and potential issues you should expect. A maintenance phase of two days is planned.
- Meanwhile, many healers from the FFXIV community are revolting after a group managed to complete the first dungeon from Dawntrail without healers at a media event.
- The pre-patch of the new WoW expansion The War Within is scheduled for release in July 2024. Included: Small but fine improvements for the camera. The launch of the expansion is planned for August 27, 2024.
