New World brought the new 3v3 arenas for PvP and some other changes to the PTR server on April 28. Anyone who has an account for New World can use this. Although the arenas are still in testing, they are already receiving good feedback. The official release is planned for May.
What’s in the new update? The big May patch will bring some changes for New World:
- The 3v3 arenas in PvP are being introduced. You can enter them from level 20, and there is automatic matchmaking that you can join from anywhere in the world. A round lasts 2 minutes, and a Best of 5 will be played overall.
- Two new PvP currencies will be introduced. With PvP XP, you will climb a reward path, and using Azoth Salt, you can buy new rewards. These rewards are available for both the arenas and for wars, outpost rush, and PvP in the open world.
- The dungeon Depths will be included in the mutation rotation and three new mutators will be introduced, bringing new challenges.
- The Varangian Knights are attacking again. In Everfall, they will create a new event for players between level 25 and 30. The knights first appeared in the November patch.
- The combat system will be optimized. Healers will be adjusted, dodging will have a short cooldown before stamina regenerates, and the bow will have a better player experience when firing.
When can I try the patch? The patch was released on April 28 at 19:00 on the PTR server. Every player can test it there.
When will the patch be officially released? The release of the update on the regular servers is planned for May. There is no specific date yet.
