The MMORPG MU Legend was recently the victim of a hacker attack. To contain the damage, the game had to be rolled back three weeks. As a result, the mood in the community is quite bad.
What triggered the rollback? The developers of the MMORPG MU Legend announced that there was a hacker attack in the game. The team did not want to go into details, but the attack is said to have affected the in-game economy. Therefore, a rollback was necessary to restore the status before the attack.
Three weeks lost …
When was the game rolled back? MU Legend had to be rolled back to the state of November 26, 2019. This means that there was a rollback of three weeks.
What have the players lost? Basically, everything that has happened in the last three weeks is lost. This includes among others:
- All trading between players
- Character progress has been reset
- All acquired Redzen have been reset to the state of November 26
- Spent Redzen will be refunded
- Purchased items are gone
- All characters created during this time have been deleted
The game is now at the state of November 26, as are your characters and your overall progress.
Is there any compensation? Webzen has not commented on this yet. However, it could be that the many complaints from players will bring some compensation – but this is not certain.
The community in uproar
How are the players reacting? The mood in the community is not very good. A rollback of three weeks is quite a long time. In recent days, some players have achieved a lot in MU Legend. Also, the fact that all newly created characters are gone is very frustrating.
- SebaKaos writes on Steam: “I started with MU Legend ten days ago. Now it’s ‘Goodbye’. It’s being uninstalled.”
- DamnedPriest69 says: “I started playing after November 26 and have 62 hours of playtime. What are you thinking not compensating the players for this time? I expect a refund of my Redzen!”
Not everyone is angry. After all, it was necessary to intervene to restore the economy to normal. Týr, for instance, thinks it’s a good thing: “Yes! Thank you!”
