What is Moonlight Blade? It is a so-called Wuxia MMORPG. It is based on Chinese mythologies and places Martial Arts combat at its center.
Depending on the chosen character class, you will learn a different combat style and other abilities, such as walking on water. PvP battles are central. However, you can also pursue professions such as composer, merchant, scout, or assassin.
A cool MMORPG with an uncertain release
What is special about the game? Moonlight Blade was released in Korea in 2015 and still looks very good today. Even if the MMORPG were to be released here in 2020, it could impress in terms of graphics. Moreover, the game creates a magical atmosphere based on gameplay videos.
Will it be released here? In January 2017, Nexon stated that Moonlight Blade is definitely set to be released in the USA and in Europe. In summer 2018, this was confirmed again. Since then, it has been quiet and there is no release date.
What is the current status of a release here? It is hard to say whether Nexon is sticking to its release plans for the West and when we can expect a launch. The company has been silent on this topic for over a year.

Why are there no new updates? Nexon is in upheaval. The company is supposed to be sold but has not found a buyer so far.
In addition, there are currently some restructuring efforts that have already led to the cancellation of MMORPGs like Peria Chronicles. Additionally, there have been several layoffs and the PC and mobile divisions have been merged.
It seems as though the release of Moonlight Blade in Europe and the USA is not a priority for Nexon. If the company manages to stabilize, movements in this matter could happen again.
Could Moonlight Blade be canceled? Currently, there are fears that Nexon could cancel the MMORPG. Given the current state of the company and how other titles have been handled, this could certainly be possible.
However, it is unlikely. Moonlight Blade is doing quite well in Asia, and a new class with the Shaolin monk was recently announced. The game will definitely continue to be developed.
How likely is a release in 2020? The year 2020 is long, and it is quite conceivable that Moonlight Blade could be released here in 2020. However, this largely depends on how the situation surrounding Nexon develops.
