While we are still waiting for Lost Ark to finally be released here, players in Korea are already diving into a new underwater dungeon and looking forward to more upcoming content for the MMORPG.
What kind of dungeon is it? Even though we are still waiting for the release of Lost Ark here, the version in Korea is getting new content. Gate of Paradise takes you to a dungeon that is located underwater. You must be eight in order to enter the dungeon.
The dungeon consists of three areas where seven boss monsters await you. This includes Guardian Arcadia, around whom the new story revolves.
Gate of Paradise introduces diving suits and underwater skills. You need to pay attention to having enough air while diving and work well together to master this new dungeon. Seafaring is indeed a big theme in Lost Ark, so underwater content fits very well.
A cool new dungeon
What’s special about Gate of Paradise? During the adventure, you will find clues to the next big story starting in Lost Ark. One could say that the dungeon serves as a sort of prehistory for the upcoming storyline.
What does the new adventure look like? The developer studio Smilegate has released a trailer for the new dungeon, showing what awaits you underwater.
You explore the ocean floor, beautifully designed with corals, speed through currents, encounter a giant sea monster, and eventually face the Guardian Arcadia, who somewhat resembles Poseidon.
The underwater areas are beautifully designed and bring their own atmosphere. The gameplay mechanics involving air breathing and diving should offer some variety.
What’s next? The developers have already spoken a bit about the content coming to Lost Ark later this year. The highlights include:
- 2 new classes
- Gradual removal of the gender lock by introducing male and female versions of existing classes
- A Battle Royale island
- The ability for guilds to conquer islands
- New content “Papunica” with an Abyss Raid
- Legionnaire Raid
- Adjustments to the map system and interface
However, nothing new has been said about a Europe release of the MMORPG.
What do you think of the new dungeon in Lost Ark? Would you dive right into the waves?
