In April 2019, the MMORPG Kritika Online went dark after it failed. But now it is back – in the form of a reboot.
This is what makes Kritika Online special: Kritika Online focused on wild action. An open world was nowhere to be found. Instead, it had a combat-oriented mission system. That was also fun in the test.
Why was Kritika Online dead? Kritika Online simply failed because not enough players could be found. Consequently, operations could not be maintained and the MMORPG closed its doors in spring 2019. Until now.
Kritika: Reboot is now on Steam
This is the current status: Tonight, on November 13 at 7:00 PM, Kritika went live again – but in the form of a “reboot,” which is also found in the title.
The revival aims to avoid many mistakes that possibly cost its predecessor players. There is, for example, a new user interface, adjusted rewards, and side quests for the individual classes Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Scyther, Noblia, and Monk. The old characters of the players will no longer exist – everything starts from scratch.
This is the most important change: In Kritika Online, there was the so-called “stamina” system, which granted your hero only a limited amount of endurance. Once that was used up, there were fewer rewards in missions. This could be resolved by taking a multi-hour rest – or with a potion from the in-game shop. This system will no longer exist in “Reboot.”
What the first reviews say: Since today, Kritika: Reboot is on Steam and the servers have been unlocked since 7 PM. On average, the reboot has been rated as “mostly positive,” which, however, still stems from the times of the predecessor.
Users’ voices are certainly positive.
- “Welcome back,” User “death” is happy.
- “I missed this game so much,” says “Vanity Eclipse.”
- “It’s really a good game, the combat system is fantastic,” praises “MoonLordHun.”
It looks like the game might be in for better times – if the player numbers add up.
