The publisher and developer Nexon announces its new game Project HP with a teaser trailer. It is an action game focused on PvP that emphasizes melee combat. We at MeinMMO have looked into the information for you.
What is Project HP? Project HP is the new project from developer Nexon, with the Game Director of Vindictus, an MMORPG from 2010 that still attracts players, at the helm of the team.
In the first teaser trailer, the game seems to take inspiration from For Honor, adding a sprinkle of magic and fantasy. It is intended to be an action PvP MMORPG, with a focus on conquest battles. These battles will consist of either 12 vs 12 or 16 vs 16 players.
Alongside traditional swords and axes, there will likely also be magic, as clearly visible in the trailer. The game looks really good in the initial scenes.
Why is this exciting? Medieval PvP games like For Honor, Chivalry, or Mordhau are consistently popular. While they may not always be huge hits, they have their fans and loyal players.
The publisher Nexon wants to enter this market. To do so, they are spicing up the genre with a hefty portion of fantasy. The developer emphasizes that it will be a “premium triple A” title targeting high-performance PCs.

Alpha for Project HP coming this summer in Asia
Who can play this? There is no release date for the game yet, but an alpha is set to begin in August, which will be limited to South Korea. It is still unclear whether the game will come to the West, let alone when.
Additionally, you will need decent hardware to run the graphically beautiful game. Currently, a minimum requirement of an i7, 16GB RAM, and an RTX 2060 is mentioned. However, this is an early version of the game, so the requirements may change and are not final.
However, Nexon has previously released games in the West that were actually optimized for the Asian market. One thing is certain: We will definitely have to wait a while before we can dive into the turmoil of Project HP.
