What is the next major ESO expansion? The next major expansion of The Elder Scrolls Online is called “High Isle,” takes you to the island of the same name, and will be released in June 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia. It will be available for PC and Stadia on June 6, and for consoles on June 21.
In High Isle, you can expect a narrative about chivalric honor and political upheaval. Additionally, there will be new dungeons, a world boss, treasures, and a pirate story.

What is the pirate story about? ESO tells you before the “High Isle” release 5 things you must do when the new expansion launches. One of these highlights is called “Plunder of the Ghost Harbor Bay.”
The plunder of the Danger Bay revolves around the pirate IIyes Maul, who is searching for the final resting place of his ancestor in the Ghost Harbor Bay and with whom you will ally.
Additionally, as part of this highlight, you will explore the remains of a pirate fleet in a new public dungeon. You must survive the deadly ghosts trapped inside and uncover the secret of a dark curse. The dungeon contains not only monsters and bosses but also numerous treasures.
Who is the new world boss? In addition to numerous types of monsters, on the northern half of High Isle resides the new world boss Gleymos-Wildhorn – a bipedal humanoid with high intelligence.
Since hunting the Wildhorn can be dangerous, you might need the help of allies.

Volcanic rifts and sightseeing

- Help close volcanic rifts: There has been an increase in volcanic fissures. You must find and calm the new rifts by defeating the monsters that have emerged from them. Since this is not an easy task, it may be beneficial to team up with other players to close the volcanic rifts.
- Dive into whaling: High Isle has a sister island named Amenos. However, Amenos is not untouched. Behind the overgrown fauna lie bloodthirsty beasts and the murderous inhabitants of the island. Amidst the inhospitable surroundings, there is Whalefall Delve, a place where both people and animals are hunted for sport.
- Take a sightseeing tour: Besides all the adventures, you also have the chance to simply explore the islands of the archipelago. One particular highlight is the native Ornaugs, which leap from the waves at a reef off the southwest coast of High Isle.
What else is new? In addition to the five highlights, the “High Isle” expansion offers further innovations. These include unique zone sets for crafting and gathering as well as a variety of side quests and daily quests.
