In June, you can test a lot of games at the next Steam Next Fest. A new city-building simulator will also be playable as a demo. In the trailer, the developers show you the 5 most important aspects of the gameplay.
Which game can you test soon? As part of the next Steam Next Fest, you can test a new game in June that aims to combine city building simulation and long-term strategy. KaiserPunk is being developed by Overseer Games.
The studio has already released two other games in recent years, both of which received over 70% positive reviews on Steam. So, taking a look at the free demo of KaiserPunk in June could definitely be worth it.
A new trailer now summarizes the 5 most important aspects of the gameplay:
What to expect: KaiserPunk takes place in an alternate 20th century, and at least graphically, it looks quite good in the trailer. The game is played from the genre-typical bird’s-eye view, and even though your building options seem quite symmetrical and angular, they somehow fit perfectly with the atmosphere and setting of the game.
The trailer now briefly shows you the 5 main aspects of the gameplay:
- City building: In KaiserPunk, you build both on land and on water and unlock new buildings and upgrades. The development of your city’s technology depends on your overall building style. Whether you can rely on simple zeppelins or powerful bomber planes in warfare is up to you.
- Long-term strategy: You can expect over 100 regions with which you can form alliances and trade, or you can conquer and exploit. You should think carefully about your strategy, as each region brings its own bonuses. Against AI opponents, you can then send your troops into battle. These battles take place on land, at sea, and even in the air.
- Logistics: You need to plan your supplies and supply chains logistically to ensure that every corner of your city can fulfill its purpose perfectly. You enter into trade agreements with other factions and ensure that your workers are as satisfied as possible to keep productions running.
- Production chains: There are 100 different resources that you can mine, harvest, process, and produce. You use these for the growth of your city by developing complex processes and keeping production chains up and running. You then use your power and money to get rid of rivals.
- Decisions: Each of your decisions and actions impacts the story of your city. It’s not only about which decision you make, but also when you make it. These can lead to the growth and success of your city or ruin everything.
