Bless Unleashed seems solid, but not outstanding
Is it worth checking out Bless Unleashed? The new MMORPG from Round 8 Studio is struggling with the baggage of its predecessor Bless Online. The game was released in 2018 and turned into a flop, which was shut down just a year later.
However, Bless Unleashed seems to be doing some things right:
- There are, at least on Xbox One, no serious technical issues as with Bless Online.
- The game feels overall more polished than the old PC version.
- While Bless Online and Unleashed share the same world, the new MMORPG takes place at a different time and thus offers different content.
- In the world, you will encounter world bosses that still play a role in the endgame.
- The crafting system remains important throughout the entire game.
- There are challenging dungeons.
What are the drawbacks? However, there are also some criticisms of the MMORPG. For instance, testers on Xbox One criticized the combat system for being too slow. They do not see it as an action combat as was promised. Additionally, some users find the character models and the world to be somewhat lackluster.
Furthermore, the game has already made negative headlines with a very generous head start for players who spent a lot of money, even though the MMORPG is supposed to be free-to-play.

Nevertheless, MeinMMO author Andreas Bertits believes that Bless Unleashed deserves a chance. After all, some of the players’ concerns are based on the fact that Bless Online disappointed many. Whether this MMORPG is truly worthwhile can best be determined by playing it yourself.
