In Blade & Soul the new event “Eternal Night” starts on July 14th. This allows players to receive a ticket for free to bring a character to level 60. This is particularly appealing for newcomers and returnees who want to give the MMORPG with the big engine update another chance.
What do you have to do for the max-level character? For the ticket, you only need to log in on time. The event runs from July 14th to August 11th. By logging in, you can secure the item for free in the Hongmoon Store, the real-money shop of Blade & Soul.
Which class you bring to max level is up to you. However, with the event, the third class specialization for the Warden – the path of the Grim Reaper – will be released. So, a good time to try out a Warden.
Why is the max-level character particularly exciting right now? In the third quarter, i.e. by the end of September 2021, the major engine update for Blade & Soul is finally supposed to be released in the West. This will change almost all content of the MMORPG.

New graphics, new story, better combat system, and many balance changes
What does the major engine update bring? With this update, Blade & Soul is supposed to be brought from Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 4. This comes with better graphics and generally better performance.
Additionally, further changes are planned, including:
- The second part of the story from Act XI
- New dungeons
- Adjustments to the combat system
- Adjustments to the distribution of loot
- A better interface
- Real-time leaderboards
- Numerous balance changes
Additionally, the next class will probably be released with the update, which relies on combat using two swords and quick attacks. This was already released in Korea along with the engine update on June 16th.
