The MMORPG Black Desert is getting a major “Winter Expansion” in April. This will bring a new region. The teaser video mainly shows snowy areas and a creature wearing a Viking helmet.
What kind of expansion will this be? There aren’t many details yet. The expansion is called “The Mountain of Eternal Winter” and is set to introduce a completely new area. You should be able to explore this directly from level 1, and veterans are also expected to enjoy the content.
The developers promise a “completely new experience” in Black Desert, which is also described as “rich in lore”.
The teaser shows an area completely covered in snow and featuring several hidden caves. In one of these caves, hundreds of ice crystals can be seen along with a creepy creature wielding an axe, a shield, and a Viking helmet.

Black Desert plans a major reveal event on March 10
When will we learn more about the expansion? On the official website for the expansion, there is a live ticker counting down to the big content reveal. This reveal is scheduled for March 10 at 11:00 am German time.

When is the expansion coming out? There is no concrete date yet. The teaser only states that “The Mountain of Eternal Winter” is expected to launch in April 2022.

Additionally, new seasons regularly start, allowing characters to level up quickly and equip useful gear. So, anyone looking to start or re-enter BDO should take advantage of such a season start.
