The beta phase of the Xbox One version of the MMORPG Black Desert was a great success. Now the developers are preparing for the launch and have given a glimpse of what players can expect in the first half of 2019.
A successful beta leads to launch
How did the beta go? According to Pearl Abyss, the developer of Black Desert, around 300,000 played the beta of the MMORPG. Judging by the reactions on Reddit, the testing phase was well received. Participants provided the developers with a lot of feedback, much of which was implemented. For example, the team introduced the ability to freely assign keys, which was a criticism of earlier beta phases.
When is the official launch? Those who pre-order Black Desert Online in the Ultimate Edition can start on March 1st.
The official release will take place on March 4th.
Many new features coming by June
What else did the developers announce? In a live stream, the team presented the roadmap for the first half of 2019. This extends until June. According to this, Black Desert Online on Xbox will regularly receive new content. This includes:
- The zones Mediah, Valencia, and Kamasylvia
- The “Awakening” of classes
- Absolute Skills
- Removal of the level cap
- Node Wars and Siege Wars
- World bosses
Thus, the Xbox One version of Black Desert will be significantly expanded over the next three months and will catch up with the state of the PC version. The PC version is also expected to be expanded in 2019.
