Astellia has announced the release time for the MMORPG on Discord. However, German players are not in a good position.
When does Astellia come out? In official posts, it was previously stated that Astellia would be released on September 27. We also received this information at Gamescom. However, this is not true at least from the perspective of European players.
The western version of the MMORPG will be released worldwide at 5pm PDT, which means for us at 2:00 AM. The official release date is thus pushed to September 28.
Players who have pre-ordered Astellia will gain access earlier:
- Legendary Pack – September 21 at 2:00 AM
- Platinum Pack – September 24 at 2:00 AM
- Gold Pack – September 27 at 2:00 AM
- Official Release – September 29 at 2:00 AM (The original plan was set for September 28. Due to issues, the release has been delayed by 24 hours)
Why does Astellia come out at this time? CM Aethon explains in a post that the time was chosen based on the best combination of American and Korean time.
In America, the release is coordinated in the West, while the developers are based in Korea. Thus, the European area misses out.
Players respond disappointed
How do players react to the release time? In the official Astellia forum, there is heated discussion about the announced time. Some players, like the user Adventure Ape, took time off work specifically and are now angry:
Well, we still have a problem with this. I didn’t spend 100 euros for a head start on September 20, took time off for the 20th, just to be allowed to start on the 21st now [..]
Some players are so disappointed that they are considering a refund.
Others find the issue exaggerated and are looking forward to playing on Saturday morning. Some working people even see an advantage in the timing.
How much does Astellia cost? The affordable pre-order version, the Gold Pack, costs 39.99 euros. The most expensive pack, which allows you to start a week earlier, costs 99.99 euros.
However, the pre-order campaign ends with the head start on September 21. The regular version is expected to cost 30 euros.
Alternatively, you can subscribe to the MMORPG monthly. You will pay 10 euros per month, but won’t have any other benefits. The start for this is also only on September 28.
