With the update 6.0 “A New Dawn” for the MMORPG AION, the developers aim to “return to the golden times”. This week, 6.0 is released in Europe. However, the new beginning does not mean that you have to miss out on a continuation of the story.
The upcoming update for AION has now been presented in more detail. The developers have also released a video showing you a first glimpse of the new zone Lakrum. There, you can expect new quests.

Innovations and Reflection on Old Values
This is what “A New Dawn” brings: Update 6.0 is intended to be a kind of new beginning for the MMORPG AION, with which the developers want to return to the golden times of online gaming. In its home country South Korea, the patch has indeed led to a resurgence, also because AION became free-to-play with the update.
For starters, some changes are finding their way into the game:
- The enchantment system of the game has been changed so that failed enchantment attempts no longer result in the enchanted item breaking
- In addition, the leveling progression rate for levels 1 to 75 has been increased. This is intended to allow for a faster and more enjoyable ascent
- Players should be able to reach the new content of A New Dawn faster
- The level cap has been raised to 80
What new content is included? Despite a return to old virtues, update 6.0 will also take steps forward by introducing additional content.
- The brand new zone of Lakrum, where you must stop the eerie Ereshkigal before she can execute her plan to steal the sacred treasures of AION
- Two new instanced dungeons: the Prometun’s Workshop for six players and the solo dungeon “Kubrinerk Cube Laboratory.”
Upcoming release: In just a few days, on September 19th, update 6.0 “A New Dawn” will be released for the MMORPG AION. Then you will see for yourself how the online game changes with the adjustments and innovations.
