The big update 7.5 – Traces of the Storm has been released for the MMORPG AION. You can expect some new challenges, including in a large underground zone.
What does the new AION update bring? AION is receiving a whole range of new content. This includes the Visions weapons with properties such as “Paralysis”, “Silence”, or “Divinity”. You can obtain these weapons by defeating the bosses in Lakrum and Dumaha or by eliminating agents of the opposing faction.
Additionally, there are 6 new legendary Apostle transformations and transformation collections included:
- Ariel’s Apostle
- Azphel’s Apostle
- Yustiel’s Apostle
- Triniel’s Apostle
- Vaizel’s Apostle
- Lumiel’s Apostle
What are the biggest innovations of the update? The new zone Silentera Gorge is a large underground passage where you will face challenging world bosses. You must tackle significant challenges here to acquire strong gear.
- Moreover, you will dive into the instance “Ara Infernalia”, where all your skills as a Daeva are required.
- In Kubrinerk’s Monster-Cubus Lab, you can expect the Monster-Cubuli. These items will help you defeat boss opponents.
- The Dredgion invasion will also commence, where you can obtain the ultimate gear by defeating the world bosses waiting for you in each region.
What else is new? Two instance vendors will supply you with legendary and ultimate PvE enchantment stones, Kinah, and ultimate gear.

Despite its age of 12 years, the MMORPG AION still receives major updates that introduce new content and generally overhaul the game. Not surprising, considering it experienced a resurgence at the end of 2019. And this, even though AION 2 has already been announced.
How is the new update received? The update is being hotly discussed in the official forum. The changes are mostly well-received by the fans. However, some bugs have crept into the patch, causing issues for some players.
Some bosses in raids cannot take damage, monsters flicker, some rewards are not credited, and NPCs do not respond when addressed.
The developers will surely fix these bugs soon. Players are already waiting for this, as the general content is well-received.
