A MMORPG has already bitten the dust just 24 hours after its release. It has been discontinued.
As reported by Kotaku, the Free2Play MMORPG Chaos Saga launched yesterday in Japan. Less than 24 hours later, it has already been discontinued. Some say it’s because the characters from the game were too similar to those from Final Fantasy XI. Fans have already created comparisons on Twitter, contrasting the characters from both MMORPGs.

But: One can’t be entirely sure that a legal threat led to the record outcome. Shortly after the release, maintenance was announced, perhaps the developers were also facing technical issues. It wouldn’t be the first launch to suffer from them. Officially, a spokesperson for the game states that there are “various reasons” behind the discontinuation. Ah, very informative.
One thing is clear: The name of the MMORPG was well chosen. Chaos Saga.
Even here, MMORPGs seem to die earlier and earlier. ELOA and Asta were recently granted less than a year of lifespan. But one of them is supposed to make a return soon:
