The developer and publisher LavaFlame2 has created an MMO that brings with it features like autoplay that are typically unpopular. Nevertheless, Legends of Idleon seems to be exactly what many players find great. What makes the game special, you will find out here.
What kind of game is this? IdleOn is a free idle MMO game on mobile and Steam, where you can form your own guild of characters that continue to play even when you are offline. The game offers classic MMORPG elements like quests, dungeons, equipment upgrades, and crafting.
There are also a variety of classes and skills that you can assign to your characters. The game becomes increasingly complex the more you play and the more world bosses you defeat. More information about the game is provided by MeinMMO editor Alexander.

“You don’t feel compelled to use paid currency”
How are players reacting? Although features like autoplay form the core element of this game, some players see this as a welcome convenience feature, avoiding the tedious and ongoing grind in MMORPGs and focusing on quests or dungeons.
Accordingly, the Steam ratings for the MMO are also good. Considering all reviews on Steam, they are at 88% and are thus rated very positively
(via Steam).
On Reddit, the title also excites many fans. Some wonder what makes the game so appealing that many want to play it. In response to a new player’s inquiry, the developer writes (via Reddit):
Try to play it for about 30 minutes and you will either react with
Ohh cool, I can’t wait to check back in tomorrow, craft new things and further explore the world(in which case you have understood the appeal of the game) or you will continue to wonder why everyone plays it, which means you simply don’t like it. It’s similar for me with country music.
Meanwhile, user mayasux finds the game great and claims that it might be the funniest idle game. Furthermore, the user says that he does not feel compelled to use paid currency, unlike in 95% of other idle titles
(via Reddit).
What other features does it offer? The developer and publisher, who is actually just one person and calls himself LavaFlame2, promises an experience where quests and dungeons are the focus, and the grind of monsters or gathering materials is taken away from you. There are the following features (via Steam):
- 38 classes and over 600 unique skills
- Guilds
- Over 40 NPCs with over 135 quests
- 70 different locations covering various biomes, such as jungles, forests, deserts, oceans, sewers, caves, and more.
Character development is supposed to be diverse and free. You should be able to play as a barbaric fisherman who catches sea monsters and gathers resources. You can then hand these over to a druidic alchemist, who brews potions from them. With the potions, another player can then defeat a world boss as an assassin.
