In Minecraft everything is blowing up around you. At least with this mod, which ensures crazy gameplay with plenty of adrenaline.
If you’re no longer having fun with regular Minecraft because the game has become a bit stale and the next major patch is still pending, you’re looking for variety. Luckily, there’s a large community of modders who regularly release “Data Packs” to spice up the game.
With one of these Data Packs, almost everything becomes a deadly bomb. You need to constantly be on guard before everything blows up around you.
What kind of Data Pack is this? It’s about the Data Pack “TIME BOMB” or also “Minecraft, but Everything is a Time Bomb.” The name says it all, as the game is altered so that just about everything can become a time bomb when approached. This includes:
- Almost all NPCs (monsters, villagers, animals)
- Projectiles (arrows)
- Broken blocks
How does the game work then? Basically, Minecraft still functions like before – but with the twist that everything can explode fairly quickly. However, the explosions do not happen spontaneously; each object gets a visible timer. Some things, like broken blocks, have a fast timer of just 3 seconds. So you have 3 seconds after breaking to pick up a block before the object explodes.
Other things, such as villagers, get a longer timer of 30 seconds. This way, you can still complete a trade before the NPC blows up.
The trick is to approach all objects cautiously and then react quickly. A jump into water, which often saves you from enemies, can become a deadly danger when the fish start ticking ominously.
Once you get used to these new dangers, exciting gameplay awaits, making Minecraft perhaps a bit more absurd but also significantly more thrilling.
How can you install the mod? If you want to experience the numerous bombs for yourself, you should download the mod from the Planet Minecraft site. Then you install the Data Pack by unpacking it into the “Data Packs” folder of Minecraft and then loading a world with this Data Pack.
Since the mod is – obviously – quite destructive, it’s worth creating a new world so you don’t blow up your old one in no time.
Hidden features: There are also a few little tricks in the mod. If you dye a sheep, it ensures that the timer grows to 30 seconds and turns yellow, along with the text “NUCLEAR”. You can already guess: The sheep will explode after 30 seconds with tremendous explosive force, creating a crater in the landscape that can wipe out entire NPC villages.
If you’re bored in Minecraft, why not try out this Data Pack. At least for a few hours – or all hardcore fans – it should definitely entertain.
What mods and Data Packs do you use in Minecraft? Or do you only play the original without modifications?
Another Minecraft game, namely Minecraft-Earth, unfortunately did not survive.
