Basically, taming ensures that you get certain advantages for animals you can tame. Either they protect you or serve as pack animals or mounts. You can tell when an animal is tamed when hearts appear above it.
Which animals can breed? However, there are also animals that cannot be tamed but can only breed. They can then be multiplied to guarantee a reliable food source, build a farm, or create more protection for your buildings. The following animals belong to this category:
