The most famous of all Minecraft worlds has finally been found. Bet that you have seen it for years and yet never visited it?
A major appeal of Minecraft, which keeps players hooked to the block game even after years, is the seemingly infinite number of worlds. Each one is unique and has special places that can be found nowhere else. After nearly 9 years, the most famous of these worlds has finally been discovered.
What is it about? The Minecraft menu is not as lifeless as in many other games. Somewhat blurred, there is always a small camera movement through a sample world in the background. For a long time, from 2011 to 2018, this was always the same world in the background. Since then, players have been trying to find this exact world – now it has been achieved.
With the help of Minecraft@Home, it has now been possible to find this game world, as the Reddit user Tomlacko explains. The program utilizes the computing power of computers that are currently idle and managed to find the seed of the famous menu game world within 24 hours. Here you can see how the game world looks like:
What is a seed? How a game world looks in Minecraft is determined by the seed. This is a numeric code or a sequence of characters (which is then converted into numbers). Players can have this seed randomly determined or specify it themselves when creating a world. Minecraft then uses this seed to generate the game world.
This means there is an extremely large variety of worlds. However, this also means that the same seed always creates the identical world. So if you discover a particularly cool world, you can share the seed with others so they can explore that world as well.
What is the seed? If you want to explore the iconic menu world of Minecraft yourself, you must download the old client for the game world 1.7.3 Beta. Then use one of the two seeds:
- 2151901553968352745
- 8091867987493326313
Then go to the following coordinates. X: 61, Y: 75, Z: 68
Does this still work in the current version? No, unfortunately not. This is mainly because Minecraft keeps experimenting with how worlds are created. New biomes are added and a lot of changes are made to the code, which causes the old seeds to result in different worlds in newer game versions.
Still a pretty cool find. So if you want to experience adventures in arguably the most famous of all Minecraft worlds, you should try the seed with the version. But don’t throw the controller away if something goes wrong…
