Microsoft sells €200 bundle with 2 top games for PC and Xbox for 70 cents – But has noticed the mistake now

Last week, Microsoft offered a bundle for the game “Forza Horizon” way too cheap in the Swedish Xbox Store. The bundle usually costs 200 euros, but it was available for 70 cents. However, those who acted quickly cannot celebrate this time: Microsoft is reversing the purchase.

What is this bundle? It is the “Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5 Premium Editions Bundle”:

• Normally, the bundle costs 199.999 € in the German store – but it has currently been reduced for another 7 days to 79.99 € (via xbox.com)
• The bundle has 79.41 gigabytes. It is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
• The premium bundle includes two of the best racing games of all time: Forza Horizon 5 received 92% (Xbox Series X) on Metacritic, while Forza Horizon 4 also stands at 92% (Xbox One).

Forum users celebrate the deal of the century

What was the problem? Apparently due to a mistake by Microsoft, the game was not reduced to about 80 € in the Swedish store a week ago, but to 70 cents – so in Swedish kronor.

A user from the forum ResetEra saw this on Thursday and directed his forum friends to the Swedish version of the Xbox Store, where the game was so extremely cheap, with the note: “Grab it while it lasts.” (via resetera)

As one can imagine, the thread was a huge success: People from Europe and the UK jumped on the offer – bargain hunters from the USA went empty-handed.

Microsoft removes bundle again, refunds money

Now comes the rude awakening: As the people from ResetEra report, Microsoft has since noticed its mistake and shows no leniency like EA did with FIFA.

People say: Microsoft has taken the bundle back from them but generously refunded the 70 cents. It turned out to be just too good to be true.

The story can also be seen as a downside of the digital age; if Microsoft had already shipped the boxes, it would have been difficult to reclaim them.

Still, one should probably just seize such bargains, because sometimes one may really keep the loot:
