At MeinMMO, we are looking for reinforcement for our authors’ team. You can apply now to write news and specials about the biggest online games, MMOs, and MMORPGs in the world from home, so that thousands can read them.
After our previous freelancer Leya secured a contract and we continue to grow, there is a position vacant for a freelance author (m/f/d) with us. We want to fill this position as quickly and as well as possible.
Maybe with you.
Who we are
MeinMMO was founded in September 2013. Since March 2016, we have been part of Webedia Gaming. We continue to maintain an independent editorial team, where most employees work from their home offices. We rely on the resources of our headquarters in Munich, where the editorial office of GameStar is also located.
The main focus of our reporting is on online multiplayer games that are continuously developed. In the past, they were called MMOs and MMORPGs; today the term “Games as a Service” or Service Game is used more frequently.
Our most important games in recent years included Destiny 2, The Division 2, Pokémon GO, Fortnite, Anthem, FIFA 19, World of Warcraft, and The Elder Scrolls Online. In addition, we report on many other titles and look for interesting stories from the world of online gaming.

According to AGOF figures, MeinMMO was the gaming site in Germany with the most daily unique readers in May 2019 (via meedia).
Nationwide, we are ranked 64th among editorial offerings and near sites like Bento, golem.de, Filmstarts, or GameStar.
According to our data, we reach between 250,000 and 300,000 unique readers daily, who write about 4,000 comments a week.
Our 18 authors publish articles, news, and stories about online games.

What we are looking for
We are looking for you, an author (m/f/d) with a broad knowledge of current online games. We are looking for someone who can convince us with their passion, ideas, and skills.
You should help us take the site MeinMMO to the next level.
We have no formal requirements for the applicant. However, it is important to us that
- you are passionate about online games
- you have already gained experience in journalism, either you have written for other sites or started your own blog
- you are interested in what readers really want and also deal with the data tools that reveal that

- you are willing to invest a lot of time and energy into the job and constantly develop yourself to work more effectively and creatively
- you can exchange ideas with other authors in the team, but ultimately work independently and on your own
What about the working hours? We are looking for someone for at least 20 hours a week. More hours are possible. We are quite flexible regarding the scheduling of working hours. We will clarify this in the personal conversation if you convince us with your application.

What we offer
We offer you,
- the chance to be part of a successful project that has grown enormously in the last 5 years
- the flexibility to work from home. If you live near Munich, it is possible to drop by Webedia Gaming at our headquarters and work on projects.
