Here’s what mistakes you should absolutely avoid in WoW Classic:
WoW Classic does not forgive negligence
These are the mistakes you should avoid: While modern MMORPGs – including today’s WoW – guide their players more, that is not the case with WoW Classic. The game explains very little, and especially newcomers will have to find their way around it at first.
Some of these mistakes can be easily avoided if you are careful:
- Caves quickly become death zones for new characters.
- Negligence, for example, if you are distracted by something else, will be punished.
- Fall damage is a final boss, and Murlocs are no joke (even if they look like one).
In some places, WoW Classic is simply unfair, or the mechanics cause an undeserved death. Both become all the more painful when you lose a character because of them.
What is Sauercrowd actually? It is an event in World of Warcraft, launched in December 2025 by Twitch streamers Metashi12, HandOfBlood, and Papaplatte.
Over 200 content creators are on a mission to complete the “Molten Core” raid as part of the “Sauercrowd” guild. They play WoW in the Classic version and additionally in Hardcore mode. If a character dies, it is lost forever.
