and following discussions about games. - You know which games are currently in demand and where there are some
hidden gems. - Complex topics don’t intimidate you, and you enjoy delving into them
and understanding them. - You approach others openly and have no problem contacting someone for an
interview or a statement. - You have a good language sense and very good German and English
skills. - You enjoy diverse work, as no day in web journalism is like
the other. - Practical experience in the media field is an advantage: whether it’s a fan site, a
blog, social media, Twitch, or a professional website (but this is not a
requirement for this position).
This is the job
You will become part of our editorial team and learn the craft of editing.
The area of responsibility:
- You will mainly deal with gaming and the gaming scene.
- In close collaboration with the editorial management, you will assist in planning the
editorial reporting. - You will research, write, and edit articles such as news, columns, and interviews
(we will teach you how to optimize articles based on the latest SEO insights and
refine them linguistically). - We will show you how to analyze data with suitable tools to understand,
why we write or do not write certain articles and how you can improve your own
articles as a result. - We encourage you to provide feedback on our work processes and procedures early on
and to actively shape them. - Intensive and above all practical training in journalistic work for the web
with a focus on games. - If desired, there is the possibility to be involved in video or podcast formats,
but the focus is on writing articles.
