At MeinMMO, we are looking for reinforcement for our authors’ team. Starting now, you can apply to independently write news and specials about MMO shooters like Destiny 2, The Division 2, or Warframe from home so that thousands can read them.
What we are looking for: Those who apply for this position should be passionate about MMO shooters of all kinds. You enjoy engaging with the best weapons, the best builds, game mechanics, and the community. You should also enjoy informing your friends about the latest events in your games.

Who we are
MeinMMO was founded in September 2013. Since March 2016, we have been part of Webedia Gaming. We continue to maintain an independent editorial team, most of whose members work from their home offices. We draw on the resources at our headquarters in Munich, where the editorial team of GameStar is also located.
The main focus of our reporting is on online multiplayer games that are continuously developed. In the past, they were called MMOs and MMORPGs, today the term “games as a service” or service games is becoming more common.
As an MMO shooter author, your focus would also be on the group of online gamers.
According to AGOF figures, MeinMMO was the gaming site with the most daily unique readers in Germany in May 2019 (via meedia).
Nationwide, we rank 64th among editorial offerings and are near sites like Bento, golem.de, Filmstarts, or GameStar.
According to our figures, we reach between 250,000 and 300,000 unique readers daily, who write about 4000 comments a week.
Our authors publish articles, news, and stories about online games.
What we are looking for
We are looking for you, an author (m/f/d) with extensive knowledge of current MMO shooters. We are looking for someone who can impress us with their passion, ideas, and skills.
You should help us take the site MeinMMO to the next level.
We have no formal requirements for the applicant. Journalistic experience is a plus but not a must.
It’s important to us that
- you are passionate about online games, especially MMO shooters
- you are interested in what readers really want and are willing to engage with the data tools that reveal that
- you have a knack for stories and develop it further. You should strive to understand what the core of the story is that appeals to readers
- you are willing to invest a lot of time and energy in the job, constantly develop to work more effectively and creatively
- you can exchange ideas with other authors in the team, but ultimately work independently and autonomously
You should have intensely played these 2 games:
Experience with the following games would be good, but is not mandatory:
- Warframe
- the Borderlands series
- Call of Duty
- Battlefield
- Monster Hunter World (yes, it’s not a loot shooter, but still)
