We are currently looking for reinforcement in our authors’ team. You can now apply for a position at MeinMMO to write news, guides, and specials about the mobile hit Pokémon GO from the home office.
Who we are looking for: You should be very familiar with Pokémon GO and enjoy sharing your knowledge about the AR mobile game.
After that, we look at:
- you always know what a new update brings to Pokémon GO
- you have reached at least level 40 in Pokémon GO
- you know how to make the most of events like Community Day or the Pokémon GO Fest
- you are good at explaining things to others. Clear communication is especially important for guides
- you are interested in what is currently moving the community in Pokémon GO and what everyone is talking about
- you are familiar with Reddit, Twitter, and the official website to stay informed
- you are willing to reflect on criticism of your work, accept it, and continue to develop in your writing
- it is an advantage if you already have experience: a personal blog, a streaming channel, or work for another website could fall under this. However, this is not a requirement for the position.
- you enjoy writing and have an interest in journalistic work

You will be part of our editorial team and help shape our coverage of Pokémon GO. We are grateful for suggestions and input on how we can further improve it. It is important to us that for you, the readers are the priority, and you consider which articles are truly interesting and important for the Pokémon GO community.
The tasks:
- You write articles about Pokémon GO (news, guides, lists, analyses, opinions, community interviews)
- You independently seek out exciting topics that you implement as articles. You will receive support from the editorial team
- You engage with analytics tools like Google Trends to recognize what the Pokémon GO community is currently interested in. No prior knowledge is required. The editorial team can provide you with the necessary knowledge
- You coordinate with the editorial team regarding which articles you would like to write about Pokémon GO
- You accept assignments from the editorial team on the topic of Pokémon GO
- You receive feedback on your articles from the editorial team and implement it accordingly
- You can optionally participate in workshops that we offer in the field of online and gaming journalism
Who we are
MeinMMO was founded in September 2013. Since March 2016, we have been part of Webedia Gaming. We continue to maintain an independent editorial team, with most working from their home offices. We draw on the resources at our headquarters in Munich, where the GameStar editorial team is also located. Both GameStar, MeinMMO, and GamePro are part of the Webedia Gaming GmbH.
MeinMMO now reaches over 3 million unique users monthly, most recently in January 2021 with a record of 3.36 million according to agof. Thus, the site has established itself among the largest German gaming websites, alongside GameStar.de and GamePro.de.
The focus of MeinMMO is on popular service games that are continuously developed and played online together for years. These include titles such as Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, World of Warcraft, Pokémon GO, GTA Online, Fortnite, or FIFA 21.
